Deafy

Deafy is a play created and performed by Chris Dodd, award-winning Deaf actor, playwright, accessibility advocate and Governor General Innovation Award finalist. The presentation combines ASL, surtitles and the spoken word that takes the audience on a journey of discovering what it really means to belong.

The show is designed to be accessible to Deaf and Hard of Hearing audience members on any night but Community Night on November 25th features ASL interpretation at front of house. In addition, following the performance, there will be an Artist Talk with Chris Dodd and Director Ashley Wright which will also be ASL interpreted on the 25th.

The performance will be at the VIFF Studio Theatre 1181 Seymour Street in Vancouver from November 24 to November 26, 2023 with a run time of approximately 60 minutes. Ticket and play information is available on the Pi Theatre website.
