The Firehall Arts Centre has announced their Reunion Season. This is their 39th season and opens with Chapter 21 produced by Raven Spirit Dance.

Chapter 21 September 29 to October 3
Chapter 21 explores what happens when a vibrant, powerful artist comes face to face with a crippling collision of events.

Paddle Song November 9 to 21
Tells the story of Mohawk poet, Pauline Johnson, in this energetic and humorous one-woman musical.

Lights December 2 to 12
A humorous and heartfelt story of a tight-knit family adapting to profound life changes.

John January 12 to 15
A memoir of Walkley’s oldest brother, who disappeared from Vancouver in May 1969, never to be heard from again.

Our Fathers, Sons, Lovers and Little Brothers January 20 to 22
A protest for all Black life beyond headlines and hashtags, a prayer for all families left behind, and a promise to the community that all Black lives matter.

FADO – The Saddest Music in the World January 27 to February 20
Part concert, part theatre, the story of a young woman confronting her country’s Fascist past.

Courage Now March 2 to 13
Tells the story of Japanese Consul Chiune Sugihara who helped over 6000 Polish and Lithuanian Jews escape the Nazis in 1940.

White Noise April 16 to May 1
A comedy about two families who have dinner together for the first time during Truth and Reconciliation Week.

Yellow Fever May 14 to 28
In post-war Powell Street hard-nosed detective ‘Sam Shikaze’ sets out to find the missing ‘Cherry Blossom Queen’ and discovers racism in the local police force.
