Vancouver Opera will be at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby for their inaugural Opera in the Park on Sunday July 17, 2022. The event is free and activities will begin at 1:00 PM.
Outside food is permitted and there will also be food trucks on site. Activities will include an instrument petting zoo, balloon twisters, face-painting, a photo wall, stilt walkers and giveaways.
Parking is limited in the area so attendees may want to plan transportation. Attendees may also bring blankets or lawn chairs if they wish.
The concert will begin at 7:30 PM and feature music from movies including The Godfather, The Simpsons and Mission Impossible.
The Vancouver Opera is also hosting their Gala Dinner on Sunday July 17, 2022 at 4:00 PM at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Deer Lake Park.
Tickets for the Gala are $350.00 and will help raise funds in support of Vancouver Opera. The evening will include a reception and silent auction, gourmet dinner and wines from Mission Hill Family Estate and dinner entertainment from guest artists.
