
The Mid-Autumn Festival also known as the Moon Festival or Harvest Moon Festival, is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar which corresponds to mid September to early October on the Gregorian calendar.
During the holiday colourful lanterns are displayed and mooncakes which are a pastry filled with sweet bean paste are often eaten.
There are a number of Harvest Moon Festival activities taking place throughout Metro Vancouver.

During this program, the significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival will be introduced along with narrated stories about the Moon goddess Chang’e, and her companion, the jade rabbit.
